Charlotte Water Damage to Bathroom from Next Door

Water damage hit this Charlotte bathroom hard when a water heater in an adjoining unit failed and sent water rushing into this first-floor bathroom. The water seeped beneath the tile and required removal to extract the moisture and dry the subfloor as illustrated in the Before Photo. Tile adherence is a common issue after a loss event of this type, the techs inspect the tile on a case by case basis for reuse after restorative cleaning. The SERVPRO techs, fortunately, did not need to remove the baseboards to mitigate the loss. After completion of the water removal and cleanup as shown in the After Photo, the techs restored the bathroom to its preloss condition, including repairing and painting the wall and reinstallation of tile, “Like it never even happened.”
