Substantial Cleanup Needed in Cornelius Home with Storm Damage
When intense weather rolled through, this Cornelius home got the brunt of it in the form of storm damage. The incoming water saturated much of the sheetrock on both the ceilings and walls and required removal down to the framework of the house. The carpet and tile floor did not get spared either. The tile had water seepage into the subfloor and delaminated. The technicians pulled up the tile when they removed the carpet and padding as a loss from the home, only the carpet on the stair risers remained after the controlled demolition completed. Once dry, the techs treated the studs with antimicrobial cleaning agents and sealant to inhibit any potential mold growth before reconstruction on the home began.
